Woke up today and was pretty excited my website is up and running. I know it's pretty barebones right now but at least the main structure is in place.
I'm pretty happy with how it's turning out. I like the brown vibe it has. Gives that 'mountain outdoors' feel.
Today I indexed the site and I was able to do the main page and The Expedition page. For some reason Google Search Console told me that I have exceeded my quota of searched I can perform. It told me to try again tomorrow. That's a bit of let down as I wanted to submit the whole thing today and possibly start doing some light SEO work with my Sherpa.
Instead I decided to figure out this Blog area. I have it all built now. I like this Blog idea a lot more than just one long webpage. I also think the Blog will be pretty great for SEO.
I also plan to make a checklist of things to do. Not sure where I'll store that. Maybe under My Backpack?
"The mountain doesn't care how experienced you are. It only rewards those who keep climbing."
Expedition SEO is a public SEO case study documenting the journey from zero impressions to competitive search rankings.
